Last summer, they were willing to blow up the US economy to force the deal they got, and now they’re willing to shut down the government in order to not follow that deal.
Recall the last time we almost had a shut down, about a year ago? That was over a few million for planned parenthood. Also recall a week or so ago when the same folks that wanted to shut the government down over a few million criticized the Buffet Rule on the grounds that 47 billion just isn’t much money.
It’s not about money, it never has been. It’s about destroying or crippling programs you don’t like via their budget, because doing so directly would be bad politics.
