Former Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce took to Facebook after the Colorado shootings to wonder where the heroes were, asking “where were the men of flight 93?”.
Well, Senator, I’ll tell you exactly where the heroes were that night. They were sitting in the theatre.
A teenage girl, rather than escaping to safety, stayed in the line of fire to keep pressure on her friend’s wound. Three men used themselves to shield their loved ones. One teen, despite already being injured, ensured that a woman and her two children got out safely before worrying about himself.
That’s just a few of the heroic stories from that night. You don’t need a gun to be a hero. We would do well to remember that.
Well said. I completely agree.
You’re right. So right. Thank you for this post. http://wp.me/p1RlRY-4w
