I really, really can’t stand Michelle Bachman. That being said, I’m going to defend her right now.
Apparently, on some radio show last year, she said that the AR-15 (gun used in Newtown) was her favorite gun. Someone unearthed the interview and now people are flipping out.
Oh please. Michelle Bachman’s preferences are entirely unrelated and irrelevant. If we can find any blame, it would be the perpetuation of our gun worship, but that’s a net we will have to cast very widely.
If you want to attack Bachman that’s fine, but find something less silly than a year old interview in which she makes what is most likely a very common statement. Shouldn’t be too hard.
